Tara Diebling

CEO

As CEO, Tara brings more than 20 years of healthcare experience in the areas of joint ventures, not-for-profits and academia which includes every facet of the post-acute continuum of care. In addition to her duties at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, she is involved at the HealthSouth corporate level as a coach for HealthSouth's Leadership-Talent Development Program. She earned her bachelor's degree in accounting with honors from Southern Illinois University of Carbondale.
Dr. Carr

David Carr, M.D.

Medical Director

Dr. Carr, medical director of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis, is the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Professor of Geriatric Medicine and professor of medicine and neurology at Washington University at St. Louis. He is a board-certified internist and geriatrician, serves as the clinical director of the Division of Geriatrics and Nutritional Science and is a clinician in the Washington University Memory Diagnostic Center. Dr. Carr is actively involved in the daily operations of The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.

Wanda Harden

Wanda Harden, SHRM-CP

Director of Human Resources

Wanda joins HealthSouth bringing more than 15 years of human resources experience including acute rehab hospital leadership. She received a Bachelor of Arts from the Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minn. and a Master of Arts in organizational management from Concordia University, St. Paul, Minn. Wanda has areas of expertise in labor relations, talent acquisition, HRIS, performance management and policy interpretation. 

Nick Hernandez

Nick Hernandez

Plant Operations Director

Nick serves as the director of plant operations. He brings 10 years of facilities engineering and environmental health and safety expertise in manufacturing and healthcare to The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis. Nick received his degree in electrotechnical engineering from LaValette Toulon, France.
Julie Hurst

Julie Hurst

Controller

Julie serves as the hospital’s controller and brings nine years of healthcare experience. Her experience includes varying levels of administration, human resources and, staff development/leadership training, with a focus in finance and overall operations. She joined The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in March 2014. She has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master's degree in business administration and healthcare management from West Texas A&M University.

Tracie Lee Lambert

Tracie Lee-Lambert, M.S.W.

Director of Admissions and Marketing Operations

Tracie serves as the director of admissions and marketing operations. She received her bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and her master's degree in social work from the University of Texas-Austin. Tracie brings more than 30 years of healthcare and 25 years of acute rehab expertise to The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.
Angelina Sherman

Angelina Sherman, MSN, RN

Chief Nursing Officer

Angelina is the chief nursing officer and brings with her 20 years of nursing experience. She joined The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in October 2013. She has her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of New Mexico and a Master of Science in Nursing from Norwich University in Vermont. She has been with HealthSouth since 2012. She has worked in various healthcare organizations across the United States and Japan. She began her career as a Navy nurse in San Diego, California and continued her career in Pennsylvania, Oklahoma, Okinawa Japan, Kansas and now Missouri. She has held leadership positons in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as homecare and staff development. She is a member of the Association of Rehabilitation Nurses.

Brendan Tanner, P.T., D.P.T., N.C.S.

Director of Therapy Operations

Brendan has practiced as a licensed physical therapist for 11 years. Since 2003, he has served at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis in the roles of staff physical therapist, center coordinator for clinical education (CCCE), and therapy manager for the spinal cord injury and orthopedics programs. He received his bachelor's degree in biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his master's and doctorate degrees in physical therapy from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2011, he received board certification as a Neurologic Certified Specialist from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.

Director of Quality and Risk Management

Angie serves as the director of quality and risk management.  She has more than ten years of healthcare experience specifically at The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.
Deborah Wilke

Deborah Wilke

Director of Case Management

Deb Wilke joined the HealthSouth team in December 2013.  She brings more than 36 years of nursing and management experience to her role of director of case management. Prior to joining HealthSouth, she held the positions of manager of case management, St. Louis SSM Health Care system, and was the director of emergency services for two St. Louis Community Hospitals.  Deb received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and Master of Science in Nursing from Webster University in St. Louis, MO.
